Ford Escort 1970 Lotus Twin Cam has 1.5Lt four cylinder that has been bored out to 711mm bring it up to 2Lt running a steel crank and flywheel, this engine combo was often described as a detuned Formula 2 racing engine, the design was actually based on Cosworth’s very successful Formula 2 race unit, the original gearbox was rebuilt and diff is standard 3.77, the engine was rebuilt late 2006 with all the good bits inside costing close to $20k, this is a two owner car, the first owner was from Healesville and owned it for 27 years, the second owner was from Shepparton who brought it in 1997, paint was originally orange but first owner painted it in canary yellow, this is the perfect little rocket to hit rally seen, seeing it has won many events over its life time in mutable countries including the World Cup Rally from London to Mexico some 16,000 miles, we are planning on doing a few mods to her before sale, but if your happy to take it as is don’t hesitate to drops us an email or give us a call about it. It still has the original plates on it. This car is rare as only 800 were made world wide I believe.
