Description
Genuine Matching numbers XY GT painted in Metallic Nugget Gold with black trim. The car has had four owners, the first owner brought the car from Cam Dawson Ford in Geelong in Victoria, and owned it till 1976 when it was sold to the second owner, I don’t have much information on the second owner, but he held the car till 2014, still in its original condition, with the only change being a dealership fitted manual. The car was sold in 2014 to the third owner who lived in Port Augusta in S.A, where he did nothing to the car bar rebuild the heads with 80,200 miles on the clock and on sold in it ,2 years later in 2016. The fourth owner brought the car back to Victoria, in the Seaford area where it went through a semi rebuild, a big dollar closed door re spray was done, keeping the original sticker on the driver’s door pillar, and the inside boot remains factory paint also. Ford GT legend Frank Portelli worked on the engine bay bringing it up to original show quality standard, keeping the car as original as possible. The trim remains very original in mint condition. The trim matches the genuine 83,682 km on the clock, the steering wheel is like new, the dash pad it is in great condition, the carpet has been replaced by 4th owner, roof lining is factory, and glass looks to be all original. It also has the original boot jack, and factory 5 slot’s rims with caps, with after-market Aqua-tread sport ER-70 tyres, the undercarriage is also in great condition, with factory green shockers, factory diff, and factory gold over-spray on the under body. The original motor runs perfect, with the factory dizzy and correct leads with #8 on the number 8 lead, these are rear to find, even with the factory dip stick,
This car is in mint condition and is in incredible to look at, and drive, I have had the privilege of driving to the servo and back, and it drives like new. The Gold paint with the Metallic in it, really pops in the sun. Even the radio works.
